Watching Paint Dry
The Roper Corporation employs more than 1200 people in Lafayette, Georgia, one of the largest manufacturers in Northwest Georgia. The company makes home cooking appliances under the GE, GE Profile and Monogram labels. Roper sits on a large campus of 62 acres and recently needed a long shaft for its overhead crane system. The plan was to install the part over the weekend, but before our driver from Piedmont Delivery Service could pick it up, the paint had to dry. We were there bright and early at 7:00am to pick up the shaft and rush it to Georgia. Robert Foster with the Roper Corporation was very happy to see us. As the saying goes, “watching paint dry”, wasn’t needed, but we were there to lend a helping hand just after the paint dried. Another day on the job at Piedmont Delivery Service.
All my best,
