Preparing for a Hurricane
We’ve all heard a lot recently about precautions and preparations for Hurricane Irma. The massive category 4 storm pummelled the Florida peninsula and forced the evacuation of hundreds of thousands of people, many of whom retreated to South Carolina. I-26 and I-95 have been clogged with Floridians fleeing for safety. Those main arteries are also common delivery routes for Piedmont Delivery Service. Late Friday afternoon Paul Brewer with Shawmut Corporation needed a small motor. Shawmut Corporation is one of the largest independent Laminators in the United States, laminating more than 30 million yards each year for industries such as automotive, military and medical. The motor was needed for the Clinton, Tennessee production facility. Our driver picked up the motor Friday at 5:30pm and had it delivered by 9:30pm even with the congested roadways. All of us at Piedmont Delivery Service send our prayers for continued safety and rebuilding in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma.
All my best,
