Coal Mining

Indiana is among the top ten coal producing states in the U.S. Many of these coal mines are in Southwestern Indiana. Gibson County Coal operates the Gibson South and North mines. They are near the city of Princeton in Gibson County, Indiana. They are underground mines and, with the help of more than 300 employees, the mine’s preparation plant called the Gibson South mine has a capacity of producing 1,800 tons of raw coal an hour. This is where Steve McCullough called on Piedmont Delivery Service to help transport a large motor. Piedmont Delivery Service sports large transport vans among its fleet of delivery vehicles, so on the road to Indiana we went and arrived with the large motor at 12:13am on Tuesday morning. Keeping our coal miners in operation is just another day in the life at Piedmont Delivery. We call it The Piedmont Difference!
