There is nothing quite like the smell and taste of home-baked goods. With 46 bakeries in 19 states, Flowers Foods is considered one of the largest baking companies in the United States. Headquartered in Thomasville, Georgia, the Flowers family opened its first bakery there in 1919. Their brands are most likely ones you would recognize: Wonder Bread, Nature’s Own, Sunbeam, and Dave’s Killer Bread, just to name a few. In Sarasota, Florida, at one of their manufacturing centers, we got a call from Lorrin Maddox needing some parts to keep the operation running smoothly. Honoring our same-day service, Piedmont Delivery Service arrived in Florida at 9:00 p.m. From buns, bread, sweet rolls, and cakes, Flowers Foods is continuing their motto of Fresh, Forward, Flowers with a little helping hand from Piedmont Delivery Service.
