Tee it High, Let it Fly
In the North Carolina Sandhills, the crowds were deafening to watch Bryson DeChambeau win his second U.S. Open Golf Championship at the Pinehurst Resort & Country Club this past weekend. It was a close one, with DeChambeau beating four-time major champion Rory McIlroy by just one stroke. During the week-long tournament, crowd estimates hit 225, 000 fans to watch the best players in the world battle it out on one of the best golf courses in North America. As the world was watching the best golfers, Piedmont Delivery Service was called Friday to help with an important delivery. Duane Mafaffey with a warehouse in Greensboro, North Carolina, needed a pallet of paper products delivered in anticipation for the 45,000 fans entering the gates each day. Our driver pulled up at 6:00 p.m., just in time for the weekend mastering of the green.
